Meet our Founder
Wesley Folitarik is the founder and Director of Urbanism. He offers a diversity of expertise in urban planning and property development right across Australia with over 20 years’ experience having held senior management roles in both state and local government and the private sector. Wesley has previously held roles with NSW Department of Planning, Sydney Water, NSW Crown Lands, Wyong Shire Council, Gosford City Council, Wollondilly Shire Council, Goulburn-Mulwaree Council, Parramatta City Council and the NSW Nation Building and Jobs Plan Task Force.
Wesley completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Planning at the University of Western Sydney and later and Master’s Degree in Property Development from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Wesley also serviced on the Planning Institute of Australia’s NSW Divisional Committee from 2011-14.

Glenaeon School Masterplan Review, Middle Cove
Urbanism was engaged by project architects to review the masterplan and concept approval of 1995 and provide strategic advice on the planning approval pathway for the campus at Middle Cove.
Former Buxton School Rezoning, Buxton
Urbanism was engaged to prepare a planning proposal to rezone approximately a portion of a former school site to generate a further 15 residential lots in Buxton, south-west of Sydney.
Thomas’ Chaldean Catholic Church Child Care Centre, Bossley Park
Urbanism was engaged to provide town planning services including Statement of Environmental Effects to support a new Child Care Centre in Bossley Park, western Sydney.
South Turramurra Rezoning, South Turramurra
Urbanism was engaged by Ku-ring-gai Council to prepare a planning proposal to rezone a Council-owned former road corridor for residential development at South Turramurra.
Mixed Use Retail/Commercial Development, Goulburn
Urbanism was engaged to provide town planning services including Statement of Environmental Effects and full DA project management to support a new mixed use development in Goulburn.
The Syriac Catholic Community Centre, Kemps Creek
Urbanism was engaged to provide town planning services including Statement of Environmental Effects to support a new Church at Kemps Creek, western Sydney.
Frank Mac’s Small Bar, The Rocks
Urbanism was engaged to provide town planning services including Statement of Environmental Effects to support a new small bar at The Rocks.
Living Word Worship Centre, Smithfield
Urbanism was engaged to undertake full DA project management services from procurement and design through to DA lodgement at Smithfield, western Sydney.
