NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet announced a new $300 million Accelerated Infrastructure Fund (AIF) to help communities accelerate delivery of local infrastructure that supports housing supply in high-growth areas.
This forms part of the NSW Government's $2.8 billion 2022 housing package announced in the June State Budget. High growth councils and state agencies are now eligible to apply for the extended third round of the Accelerated Infrastructure Fund Program.
This grant program will enable councils in Greater Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle and Wollongong to apply for a share of $180 million in funding, as well as councils in regional areas will receive a share of $120 million.
AIF aims to provide and build thousands of homes and residential programs to help the communities where they are needed the most.
